Watercolor Commissions

Watercolors are one of my favored mediums to work with. You can use them in a variety of ways to get a variety of colors. They have a soft 'sketchy' color to them and and layer beautifully. They are very easy to blend to get a sovt shaded look and are easily mixible to get a wide array of colors. The only drawback from this mediums is that since the paints used are water based, they are not waterproof and should the peiece get liquids spilled on them, the paints will run and blur and the piece will be ruined. For this reason all of my watercolor pieces are sent in waterproof mailing envelopes, and when possible in a protective plastic page holder or sleeve.

I work with Windsor & Newton Cotman WaterColours using sable brushes of varying sizes to spread the paints over my medium of choice. For highlights I will use Windsor & Newton Designer Gouache.

Prices for watercolor pieces will vary in size and complexity of the piece. I can also work with watercolors on illustration board, which is a study and great for purposes of framing, but the price will be higher due to the type of illustration board that I need to use for watercolors.
